Q: Will refilled ink cartridges damage my printer or fax machine?
A: No, and we guarantee it! Your machine should perform quality print jobs with new or refilled cartridges. If your machine repair proves to be cartridge-related, our technician will check and repair your machine free of charge.
Q: Do refilled ink cartridges last as long as new?
A: Yes, and in many cases longer. All of our cartridges are filled to maximum capacity and are weighed before distribution. Many HP ink cartridges are refilled to a larger capacity than new ones – for example an HP 02 new color cartridge has 6ml. of ink – our refilled HP 02 ink cartridges are filled with 9-10 ml. of ink.
Q: How often can my ink and toner cartridge be refilled?
A: For most ink cartridges it is best to refill them 3 times maximum to ensure quality print jobs.
Q: Are your ink cartridges only refilled or are they re-manufactured, i.e., are parts replaced as well during the refill process?
A: All Mr. Cartridge ink cartridges are thoroughly cleaned and inspected to determine suitability for remanufacturing. If the ink cartridge has a microchip in it, either the ink cartridge is outfitted with a new chip or in certain cases, the chip is re-set. All cartridges are weighed and tested to ensure product excellence.
Q: How do Mr. Cartridge's refilled ink cartridges compare with brand new ones in terms of quality and price?
A: Customers should not notice any difference in quality between refilled and new ink cartridges. Our commitment is to produce the highest quality product possible: we will meet or exceed the original manufacturer standards. Depending on the cartridge, customers can save from 20% to 80% over buying a new manufacturer's replacement cartridge.
Q: How long would it take Mr. Cartridge to refill an ink cartridge?
A: We carry an extensive stock of refilled ink cartridges for almost any make and model of inkjet printers. In rare cases, where a cartridge is uncommon, we will refill your cartridge when you bring it in. This may take anywhere from an hour to 2 hours depending on the type/make of cartridge.{ We offer an exchange progam on our HP ink cartridges. You can bring in your empty cartridge and receive a refilled cartridge right away or if you wish you can have your own cartridge refilled.
Q: Are generic brand cartridges comparable to new manufacturer's (OEM) replacement cartidges in terms of quality? Is there much difference in price?
A: Yes, generic brand cartridges will provide customers with a good quality print comparable to new cartridges.
Q Is it OK to keep printing when my cartridge is showing signs of running out of ink?
A Like the gas tank in your car, don't let the tank run empty! Ink helps keep the resistors from overheating. Printing with an empty cartridge can cause irreparable heat damage to the resistors. With tri-color cartridges, this applies even if only one of the colors runs out. You risk damaging the cartridge if you continue to use it with one tank empty.
Q What are some signs that my cartridge is running out of ink?
A The two most common signs are:
(1) white streaks where there should be black ink and
(2) lighter-than-normal print.
Sometimes these also can be signs of clogged nozzles, bad circuitry or worn internal components. Your cartridge remanufacturer can make that determination.
